Ironically Barack Obama cited Matthew 25:40 when asked by Rick Warren on the Saddleback Civil Forum, "What would be the greatest moral failure of America?" Obama answered:
"I think the greatest moral failure in my lifetime has been that we still don't abide by that basic precept in Matthew [New Testament book] that "whatever you do for the least of my brothers, you do for me."...and notion of that basic principle applies to poverty...racism...sexism. It applies to ...you know...not having...not thinking about providing ladders of opportunity for people to get into the Middle Class. I mean...there is a pervasive sense this country is wealthy and powerful as we still don't spend enough time thinking about the least of these..."
Which of course, begs the questions, "Can this "basic principle" in Obama's "moral" sensibility, not include infants born alive and defenseless? and: Are they not included in "the least of these" that Jesus was speaking about?
This scripture is from Jesus' parable of "The Sheep and the Goats" "All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on His left." Matthew Chapter 25 vss. 32-33
"Then He will say to those on His left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'
"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'
"And He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'"
Matthew Chap.25 vss. 41-45.
In his narcissistic arrogance, Barack Obama quoted the ONE scripture that most condemns this heinous act; the one most relevant to his treatment of the forsaken and dying infants he and others would leave hungry, thirsty, and naked to die in the storage rooms of death they have prepared for the innocents...
It is prophetic that the very scripture that Obama cited, while making yet another attempt to moralize the faults of America, he chose one that places that very condemnation upon his own evil and hard heart. He claims that the people that say these awful things about him being in favor of sacrificing the lives of innocent babies on the altar of abortion rights, are lying. Unfortunately for him, the record of his guilt is available for all to see, proving who the real liar is.
Before making a mockery of the scriptures, Obama would do well to take a lesson from Proverbs 17:7: "Arrogant lips are unsuited to a fool--how much worse lying lips to a ruler!" or Proverbs 18:6-7: "A fool's lips bring him strife, and his mouth invites a beating. A fool's mouth is his undoing, and his lips are a snare to his soul."
"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any two-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare befor the eyes of Him to whom we must all give account."--Hebrews 4:12-13.
